As a result of the impending Winter Storm Watch, issued by the National Weather Center,  H.G. Fairfield Arts Center for the Environment is canceling the PJ Walsh comedy show to benefit local veterans, scheduled to take place this Saturday October 29^th at 7:30 pm at the Paramount Center for the Arts.

“We feel it is necessary to take every precaution available to prevent our supporters from being placed in harms way.  The forecast calls for very serious travel conditions and we would not want to jeopardize anyone’s safety.” said Kim Blacklock, President and CEO of H.G. Fairfield Arts Center for the Environment.

“Anyone who purchased tickets from the Paramount Center for the Arts will receive a full refund,” explained Blacklock. “We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.  PJ Walsh is committed to returning to the Hudson Valley to work with H.G. Fairfield in its efforts to raise money for our Veterans”.

Also the Putnam County Joint Veterans Council will be hosting the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall October 19th until October 23rd at Putnam County Veteran’s Memorial Park.

But my favorite show so far was the legendary night in Washingtonville, NY at VFW Post 8691. They were hit really hard by hurricane irene . The Post almost shut down. This is the most touching example of what myself & H.G. Fairfield Arts Center for the Environment set out to do. Help our veterans. A small audience on a Monday night in upstate New York laughing their way back. Amazing!
